Mr. Kuldip K Kaura

Kuldip K. Kaura is a non-executive Director of SGL. Mr. Kaura retired as the Chief Executive Officer of Vedanta in September 2008. Mr Kaura was appointed as Director of SGL on 30th October 2007.

He holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology & Science, Pilani in 1968. Prior to his appointment as Director and the Chief Executive Officer of Vedanta in March 2005, Mr. Kaura was Chief Operating Officer Of Vedanta and the Managing Director of Sterlite Industries (I) Ltd. During his tenure with the Vedanta Group, Mr. Kaura was also the Managing Director of Hindustan Zinc Limited from April 2002 to March 2004.

Mr. Kaura is currently Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of ACC Limited. Before joining the Vedanta group, Mr. Kaura served at ABB India for 18 years and was the Managing Director and Country Manager from 1998 to 2001. He has served as member of National Council of Confederation of Indian Industries and is office bearer of such professional bodies.

Prasun K. Mukherjee
Managing Director

Prasun K. Mukherjee is the Managing Director of SGL since April 2006. Mr. Mukherjee holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from Calcutta University. He is a fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and an associate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India.

He has around 31 years of experience in finance, accounts, costing, taxation, legal and general management.

Mr. Mukherjee was rated as one of India's Best Chief Financial Officers (CFOs) in the year 2005 by Business Today magazine and in 2009, Business World magazine declared Mr. Mukherjee as India's most 'Value'able CEO.

Mr. Kuldip K. Kaura

Mr. Gurudas D. Kamat
Director

Gurudas D. Kamat is a non-executive independent Director of SGL. Mr. Kamat retired as Chief Justice of Gujarat High Court in January 1997. Mr. Kamat is engaged in judicial work relating to arbitration and conciliation. Mr. Kamat was appointed as Director of SGL on 23rd December 2005.

He has over 45 years of experience in the field of legal practice and judiciary, having practiced in Bombay as well as in Goa in various branches of law. Mr. Kamat was prosecutor for the Government of Goa from 1967 to 1969. From 1980 onwards, Mr. Kamat was an advocate for the Customs and Central Excise Departments of the Government of India.

Mr. Kamat was a member of the senate and faculty of law of Bombay University from 1978 to 1980. Mr. Kamat was appointed as a judge of the Bombay High Court on 29 November 1983.

Mr. Amit Pradhan
Whole Time Director, Director - Iron & Coke

Amit Pradhan is a Whole Time Director of SGL currently responsible for the Group's value addition business incluing Steel, Pig Iron, Coke and Power. Mr. Pradhan joined SGL in January 1990 as Manager - Purchase. Mr. Pradhan holds a Postgraduate in M.Sc. (Physics) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi Mr. Pradhan was appointed as Director of SGL on 1st July 2000.

He has 32 years of experience in materials/project management with a stint in Business Development. Mr. Pradhan was appointed as Whole Time Director of the Company effective from 1st May 2006. He is also distinguished and listed by the International Who's Who Professionals in 2007.

Mr Jagdish P Singh
Director

Mr. Jagdish P Singh is a distinguished civil servant with over 36 years of executive experience in key positions in the Union and State Government. He is an alumnus of the Harvard University where he attended the Kennedy School of Government as a Mason Fellow. He also holds a Masters degree from the University of Allahabad.

Mr. Singh has occupied varied positions in his career such as district and divisional administrator, to later working as Chief Executive and Chairman of the Board of numerous corporate bodies. He was responsible for turning around of several State and Central corporations engaged in Industrial and Services activities such as Tourism, Infrastructure, Cooperative Finance, Mining and Minerals exploration. He initiated measures in amendments in Labour Laws. He shaped the new National Mineral Policy in 2008 and piloted its passage.

He is widely travelled internationally having led delegations to multilateral bodies and conventions to participate in Global conferences, workshops, seminars and conventions. He has conducted bilateral and country specific discussions to further joint economic activities with South Africa, Australia and Indonesia.

Mr. Ashok Kini
Director

Ashok Kini is a non-executive independent Director of SGL. He holds a Postgraduate from Madras Christian College, Chennai. He retired as MD of State Bank of India in December 2005, after serving the Bank for 38 years. He was responsible for the Bank’s IT plans, from concept and RFP to execution and vendor management, domestic distribution, retail business, consumer banking, marketing/brand management, etc. He is currently on Board of IndusInd Bank Limited, Gulf Oil Corporation Limited, UTI Asset Management Company and Financial Information Network & Operations Pvt. Limited.

Mr. Dindayal Jalan

Dindayal Jalan is a Director of VSD. Mr Jalan is currently working as Chief Financial Officer of Vedanta Resources plc and is also the chief financial officer of Sterlite. Mr. Jalan joined Sterlite Group as the president of its Australian operations and was responsible for the business and operations of CMT and TCM from January 2001 to February 2002 before becoming Vedanta's chief financial officer (metals). Mr. Jalan has over 27 years of experience working in various companies in the engineering, mining and non-ferrous metals industries. Mr. Jalan received a Bachelor of Commerce from Gorakhpur University, India, and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. S L Bajaj

S L Bajaj is the Director Finance of Sesa Goa Ltd since December 2011. Mr Bajaj was President & Chief Financial Officer at Hindustan Zinc Limited, prior to joining Sesa Goa Ltd . During his 6 years tenure at Hindustan Zinc Ltd, he was responsible for strategic financial matters including finance & accounting, legal & regulatory compliances, risk management and Information Technology. He joined the Group in 1995 in Sterlite Industries India Ltd. as General Manager and later became Chief Financial Officer of Sterlite Optical Technologies Ltd. Before joining the Group he worked with SAE (India) Ltd, an ABB Group Company. He has over 33 years of experience in Corporate Finance, Accounts and Audit, Taxation, Legal, Secretarial Practices etc. He is a Commerce Graduate and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountant.p>

Mr. Pramod Unde

Pramod Unde is the Chief Operating Officer of SRL (erstwhile VSD) and a Director of SRL. In a career span of about 27 years, Mr. Unde has worked with Alfa Laval India and Thermax India before joining the Vedanta group in 2001 as Sterlite Technologies Chief Operating Officer for its Fibre Optics plant where he worked until 2003. After a brief stint in CEAT as VP - Materials and Supply chain, he rejoined the Vedanta group in August 2005 at Konkola Copper Mines plc and has contributed immensely in functions like commercial, operations and projects.
