A VIEW OF THE COKE OVEN BATTERY |
|
Our coke ovens are operating at full rated capacity and the coke
is of excellent quality as can be seen from the specifications.
For details, click here.
The
superior quality in terms of CRI and CSR is produced as a result
of the relatively higher operating temperatures and longer coking
cycle. A special feature of the technology is the extremely low
levels of air pollution achieved as the ovens operate under negative
pressure and at a temperature at which all potential pollutants
are broken down into combustible compounds.
The bi-product of this technology is clean electrical energy. Sesa
is in the process of setting up a 30MW power plant based on the
Coke oven fuel gas and Sesa Industries blast furnace gas . It is
intended to establish the power plant on a BOO basis. |
