Sesa
Industries Limited commenced operations in 1994 and is engaged in
the manufacture and sale of Pig Iron. The facilities consist of
two Blast Furnaces each with a working volume of 173 cubic meters
. Annual production is 250,000 tons of Pig Iron and 60,000 tons
of slag which is dried to 2% moisture and sold for use in the cement
industry. Several grades of Pig Iron are produced: Basic Grade, Foundry Grade and Spheroidal (Nodular) Grade.
